Who we are.

After growing up in Denver, Colorado taking piano lessons, voice lessons, acting, dancing, painting, singing in choirs, and various other artistic endeavors, I ventured to the University of Idaho in 2003 to pursue my BFA in Theatre Arts with an emphasis in Performance. During which, I continued to study music and take voice lessons. Yoga became my greatest ally during my training as an actress and singer, and my Journey into the craft of Performing became a channel for Authentic Embodiment, waking me up to the Present Moment & an Awareness of Energy beyond what we can see with our eyes. I began to ask "what is really true for me? what feels genuine & natural?" It was such an influential combination that after college I went back to Denver, where in 2008 I received a Reiki Attunement and level one training from a Reiki Master friend, and then in 2009 completed my Yoga Teacher Training at the Samadhi Center for Yoga.

In the fall of 2010, I found myself at LAMBS (Living Arts Massage & Bodywork School) in Denver to learn more through massage therapy, bodywork and energy healing. My sound healing awareness came out in 2012 when I met my life partner, Curtis Humphrey, who had studied at the Globe Institute of Sound Healing in San Francisco. He has been creating music for the soul journey for many years. His knowledge & wisdom gave form and validation to practices I had already been intuitively exploring, and sound began to more consciously interweave into the other healing modalities I was studying, and into my teaching as well. And now, I am so happy to share them with you.

Really, everyone has been, is, and always will be my teacher. Every class I have taken or meditation I have sat, dance I have danced or song I have sung, has influenced my service, and it is constantly changing and growing as we all are.

I am eternally grateful for every teacher along the way, and to be an eternal life-long student of the Mystery.

In Light & Love,

Self-Taught music mystic, Curtis Humphrey deepened his awareness of sound through experiential and educational pursuits.     First by studying the "mysticism of sound" through the Religious Studies department at CSU Chico,  and then continuing onto the Globe Institute of Psychoacoustics in San Francisco where techniques of Sound Healing were explored in depth.

It is with these studies and decades of experimentation that "Kalpataru Tree" was born, an internationally known healing downtempo/chillout project.       Utilizing music theory, psychoacoustics, sound healing and live-looping technology, Curtis's current passions involve building his own custom midi-instruments, and providing the perfect soundtrack live and in the moment to effect mind/body/spirit and deepen the yoga practice, healing session or guided meditation.
